Beautiful and incredibly rare Wedgwood vase made for pot pourri in the middle of the nineteenth century. The black basalt material was pioneered by Josiah Wedgwood in the eighteenth century and became popular in the Georgian period. Intricate polychrome enamelled pattern with exotic birds and chrysanthemums. Measuring 31 cm in height and 23 cm in width.
